How was the ice storm?

that's soooo cool!

Well, I went out to take a few pictures during it, and needless to say, it was exceptionally cold. Other than that it was extremely damaging as well. It literally snapped the poles for power lines. It broke the lines too, but the poles! Under the weight of the ice. Killed trees for sure, broke tones of branches. Closed schools for days. It was really very devistating. The power companies around the area say it cold be weeks to months until everything is back to normal. But it did leave everything very pretty!

Truly amazing shot. Great subject, of course, but also great light and lively colors. Perfect focus, so sharp.
I would have loved a closer macro shot !

Thank you, and I to would have liked a bit more detail shot... but, I have poor starving artist syndrome so I had to do with the materials I had. Turned out pretty well.
